Multipurpose Grease

Greases are lubricants, at different penetration levels from solid to semi solid which are formed by the dispersion of a liquid lubricant in a thickener. Greases are produced by blending different mineral and synthetic oils reacting with thickeners, in order to meet the requirements. However, certain requirements may only be improved with addition of additives. Grease can be broadly classified by the type of thickener used. Two main groups are soap and non soap thickener. Greases with different type of thickener must not be mixed.

Multi-purpose grease can be defined as a grease combining the properties of two or more specialized greases that can be applied in more than one application.
